Giuseppe Tortora, PhD in BioRobotics, is researcher at The BioRobotics Institute of Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Pisa, Italy. He is head of the Smart Medical Theatre Lab at The BioRobotics Institute, a laboratory originated from my research interests in medical robotics, minimally invasive robotics surgery and other research topics including autonomous robots based on Artificial Intelligence conceived for medical and social applications for humans at different levels. He was a visiting research assistant at the Imperial College London, London, UK and at the Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA, USA. He is founder of ABzero (www.abzero.it).
