The Istituto di Informatica e Telematica of the CNR carries out activities of research, improvement, technology transfer and training in the sector of information and communication technologies and computational sciences. Fondazione Sistema Toscana is a non-profit participatory foundation, created in 2005 by the Tuscany Region and Monte dei Paschi to promote the Tuscan territorial system with integrated multimedia communication tools. It carries out projects and initiatives in the field of digital communication and web 2.0, contributes to the diffusion of technological innovation processes and reduction of the digital divide, is active in the field of online tourism promotion, designs and organizes cultural festivals and complex events. It also supports projects and activities in the field of cinema and audiovisual, takes care of the public heritage of thousands of author's films and documentaries of the Mediateca and manages the activities of the Toscana Film Commission.
