Paolo Costa
Adjunct professor of ‘Reading Practices (from paper to digital)’ at the master’s degree program in Modern Philology at the University of Pavia. Born in Milan, after a literary and philologic education, he spent a decade as a journalist, and later worked in major consulting companies in the field of organizational communication and information technology. Since 1998 he has been dealing in particular with digital culture and new media. He is co-founding partner of Spindox (consulting firm) and Betwyll (innovative startup developing technologies for learning). Two main directions of his research: the first is related to the study on the relevance of new artificial intelligence technologies in the main areas of social life; the second is related to bibliology, i.e. the study of technologies to support reading and the analysis of the ways in which these technologies influence the evolution of reading practices.
