Ilaria Caggiano

Ilaria Amelia Caggiano is Full Professor of Private Law, and she teaches Private Law, and New Technologies Law (module holder within a Jean Monnet Chair) at the Department of Law of the Suor Orsola Benincasa University of Naples. She also holds the chair of Private Law at the Department of Business Administration and Green Economy of the same University. Her main teaching and research areas of interest include European and Comparative Private Law, Privacy Law, New Technologies and Digital Law, Legal Design, Bio-law and Family Law and She is the author of four monographs and several scientific publications as well as speaker in many conferences in Italy and abroad on these fields. Ilaria A. Caggiano is the vice-deputy of the Research Centre of European Private Law, Member of Neapolitan Section of European Lawyers’ Academy and member of the Interdepartmental Research Center “Scienza Nuova”, on the possible interactions between law and new technologies all at the Suor Orsola Benincasa University. She is also member of the Center for Interdepartmental Research of Bioethics, established at Federico II University of Naples. She is member of the scientific board of the European Journal of Privacy Law and Technologies and member of the Referee Board of Law of the Internet Journal.
